Palimap

Support

Palimap is run by a small team, and a real person answers. Write to us and we’ll help — with your account, your bill, the data on your map, or getting Palimap built for your town. Most of the common questions are answered below; if yours isn’t, email is the fastest way to reach us.

Weekdays, Pacific time. For anything detailed — a data fix, a build-out — email reaches us faster.

Billing & your subscription

Manage your subscription — update your card, download invoices, or cancel — from your account settings, which opens the secure billing portal. Individual plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime; a city build-out is billed to the city. Full pricing is on the pricing page. Payments and card details are handled by Stripe — we never see your card number.

Your city account & team

When a city subscribes, the person who signs up becomes the account owner. From the team page on your city’s map, the owner can invite other officials and staff by email — each invitee signs in with a one-time link and gets full access to the city’s tools. Reading the map is always free and needs no account; the login only unlocks the staff features, like Ask the Map and full owner records. If you need to move ownership to another official, email us and we’ll take care of it.

Ask the Map

Ask the Map answers plain-English questions about your town — “how many homes under $100,000 sit in the 100-year floodplain?” — by querying the real data behind the map, not guessing. It’s available to signed-in members of a city, with a modest daily limit per person so the costs stay predictable. If you hit the limit, it resets the next day; if your team needs more, let us know.

The data — and reporting an error

The base map is assembled from public sources — parcels, zoning, floods, census, the historic Sanborn maps — and we answer to those sources: when the record changes, we rebuild from it rather than hand-editing. Palimap is the best working picture of your town, not the legal system of record for deeds or boundaries, and where a layer is traced or reconstructed we label it a draft.

Found something wrong — a parcel line, an owner, a zoning district, a street name? Email us the city and what’s off, and we’ll correct it at the source or mark it honestly. On privacy: parcels owned by institutions (the city, a church, a company) show the owner publicly; for parcels owned by an individual, the name stays hidden on the public map and is shown one at a time to signed-in city staff.

Getting Palimap for your town

Don’t have a map yet? Tell us where — we build small cities first, the ones the big vendors never call back. See how a build-out works or suggest your city.

Accounts & sign-in

Palimap uses one-time sign-in links instead of passwords — enter your email and we send a link that signs you in. If a link expires, just request another. You can change your display name or delete your account, with all its data, from your settings.

Still stuck?

Email support@palimap.com and tell us your city and what you’re trying to do. We read every message.
